I think we as humans are programmed to learn things that we may never fully master, and that's perfectly fine when it comes to getting in shape. Too many people focus on the goal and, I may be contradicting many experts here, but I think too much focus on your fitness goals can be bad too. Is goal setting important? Absolutely. But I believe that getting in and staying in shape is a long term endeavor. We need to not to focus so much on the short term activities that we can't maintain as a lifestyle. This is especially true when it comes to fat loss. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Short term diets can be very effective, but how many times have we seen people gain that weight back and then some? Like it or not, if you want to get in shape and stay in shape, you are going to have to change your life.
